Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Vík Village
Driving Distance: Approx.
Optional Activities: Glacier Hiking, ATV Tour
After breakfast, you will board the bus and get comfortable with your fellow travelers, and from here on out, your adventure truly begins. Your expert guide will take you along Iceland’s stunning and very popular South Coast, visiting two of the country's most famous waterfalls – Sejalandsfoss and Skógafoss. In winter, these two incredible locations are especially breathtaking as they partially freeze over and the water cascades down these magical ice sculptures.
Next, you will take a short and fun bus ride along the black sand beach to reach the famous and very Insta-worthy DC-3 plane wreck site. You can choose to upgrade this ride, and take a speedy ATV instead! Or, if you are not interested in planes, you can take a glacier hike on Sólheimajökull. Your journey then continues south to another well-known black sand beach, Reynisfjara, and the dramatic South Iceland coastline. In the evening, it is time to check in and chill out at your cozy country hotel. Have a drink or two and keep your eyes up in case the Northern Lights decide to appear, making your day even more perfect.
Your guide will give you plenty of tips on what to look out for, and often you only need to simply step outside your hotel to see the lights. The hotel even offers a wake-up call should the lights appear during the night.

Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
Diamond Beach<br>Ice Caving
Driving Distance: Approx.
Optional Activities:
Today, it’s all about ice. After breakfast, you will head towards Vatnajökull National Park, one of the largest national parks in Europe. It is here that you will experience what promises to be one of the highlights of your trip – a completely naturally formed ice cave. These incredible structures only form in this way in winter and offer a rare opportunity to go underneath these colossal glaciers to get a glimpse of what goes on beneath the surface. These deep blue, crystalline formations are truly spectacular and completely out-of-this-world.
Your next destination is the beautiful Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. This is where you will find the icebergs that calve off from Vatnajökull glacier, the biggest glacier in Europe. As these icebergs make their way out to sea, they are broken up by its currents and scattered along the black sand beach, giving it its name Diamond Beach.
Then it is back to your cozy hotel to kick back, go through your many photos and videos, before turning in for the night and until another adventure begins. Unless, of course, the Northern Lights keep you awake!
Double/Twin room with private bathroom, breakfast included.
Gullfoss Waterfall
Geysir & Strokkur
Laugarvatn Fontana
Þingvellir National Park
Driving Distance: Approx.
Optional Activities:
After breakfast, we turn north and head towards Iceland’s most famous sightseeing route – The Golden Circle. The first location is, arguably, Iceland’s most renowned waterfall, the powerful and beautiful Gullfoss. Ferocious currents tumble over two platforms into the canyon below, but during the colder months, it has that special winter magic. From here, we heat things up for you and take you a little further to visit Geysir. This area is home to Strokkur, Iceland’s most active geyser, that erupts boiling, geothermal water into the air every 5-8 minutes. We can’t promise you will enjoy the smell, though!
Before you reach Þingvellir, the third and last destination in the Golden Circle, you will take a relaxing bath in the Laugarvatn Fontana Spa, located at the beautiful lake Laugarvatn. Finally, Þingvellir National Park is a place of particularly significant political and geological importance and the best place to witness the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates being pulled apart!
In the evening, you will arrive back in Reykjavík. Whilst your journey might be over, there is still plenty of time to soak in the winter nightlife, and of course, enjoy a final dinner with your fellow travelers.
Double/Twin room with private bathroom, breakfast included.
Capital Reykjavík

Optional Activities: Blue Lagoon
Depending on your flight time, you might have a few more hours to get some last-minute shopping done, take one last stroll around the town, or leave early and use your final moments to visit the Blue Lagoon before your flight home. We know that you will leave with many, cherished memories, and stories, and looking forward to visiting again in the Summer, when everything completely changes.
