Optional Activities: Laugarvatn Fontana, Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon
After breakfast at the hotel, you will head out for your first day trip to the Golden Circle. This route is the most popular in Iceland, as it features three very special locations. The first is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Þingvellir, a place of particular significance, as it is the site of the oldest living parliament in the world, as well as being very beautiful. This visit will be followed by a fresh and tasty tomato soup lunch in a local greenhouse.
Your next stop is the world-famous site of Geysir. This iconic location is where you will find Strokkur, the most active geyser in Europe. Erupting every 5-8 minutes or so, it fills the air with a pungent aroma of sulfur. From here, it is a mere 20 minutes or so to the next stop: the beautiful waterfall of Gullfoss (Golden Falls). Water rushes and cascades over two platforms and down into the canyon below, which is especially pretty in the wintertime!

Optional Activities: Glacier Hiking
The stunning South Coast of Iceland awaits you today. Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls are two of the most well-known and beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, and they have a particular magic in the winter months.
In the distance, you will be able to see the glacier of Sólheimajökull and the volcano of Eyjafjallajökull, which famously erupted in 2010, stopping air traffic around the world. The black sand beach of Reynisfjara is a very special place, as the Atlantic Ocean smashes the coastline. Then, it will be time to return to Reykjavík, where you are free to explore in the evening.

Optional Activities: Vatnshellir Caving
Today, you will visit one of the most beautiful regions of Iceland, which is a little less frequently visited. The Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland, with its snow-capped Snæfellsjökull volcano the jewel in its crown, is an area of remarkable natural beauty. From the rugged cliffs of Arnarstapi, to the majestic mountain of Kirkjufell. It really is a place that needs to be seen, especially in the winter months, as it takes on a whole different character!

Optional Activities: Krauma Baths
The Borgarfjörður region is a very special area, and very important to Iceland’s history. Many of the sagas are set in this region, and it is the resting place of Snorri Sturluson, one of Iceland’s most famed writers. Reykholt is where you will find out more about him and learn a little more about this region. Not exactly short on natural beauty either, you will visit the waterfalls of Hraunfossar (Lava Falls) and Barnafoss (Children Falls).
Then, it is time to head back to the city. You can use the time to have a final meal in one of Reykjavík's many restaurants, visit a bar or two and take in the winter atmosphere.
Optional Activities: Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon, FlyOver Iceland
Today is your last day, and time to be heading home. However, if your flight time allows it, you might be able to get that last-minute gift, take one last stroll for those final photo opportunities, or even visit the Blue Lagoon before catching your flight. Whatever you do, we will be sorry to see you go, but we will look forward to seeing you again!
