Upon arrival at Keflavík International Airport, you will easily find your transfer shuttle waiting outside the airport. A 40-minute drive will take you to the world's northernmost capital, Reykjavík. Depending on your arrival time, you can also visit the Blue Lagoon on your way into town.
There is always something to do and see in Reykjavík, and during the winter months, there is an especially festive atmosphere! Stroll the streets and admire the colorful buildings, visit interesting museums, and choose from the many excellent restaurants and bars. Enjoy the night in your hotel and look forward to your upcoming adventures!

After breakfast, you will be picked up and start your 3-day guided South Coast adventure! You will set off for Iceland's most famous sightseeing route – the Golden Circle. The first place to visit is Þingvellir National Park, a place of special political and geological significance and the best place to watch the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates pull apart!
From here, we'll heat you up a bit and take you a little further to the Geysir hot spring area. Here you will find Strokkur, Iceland's most active geyser, which shoots boiling, geothermal water into the air every 5-8 minutes. Finally, visit Iceland's most famous waterfall, the mighty and beautiful Gullfoss. Its streams tumble over two platforms into the gorge below, but in the colder months, it has special winter magic. You'll also stop at the colorful volcanic crater Kerið before retiring to your accommodation in the hot spring town of Hveragerði.

Today you will drive along the South Coast of the island to discover more incredible landscapes. You'll visit the famous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, but there are one or two more secret places in this area for you to see! On the way to Reynisfjara, the famous black sand beach, you will also stop at the foot of Mýrdalsjökull to discover one of its glacier tongues, Sólheimajökull. You'll get a good look from an observation deck, and can observe its fascinating structure.
Before finishing the day in a cozy accommodation on the South Coast, the black sand beach awaits you with its impressive backdrop and the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. In the evening, keep your eyes open for the Northern Lights, as the area provides perfect lighting conditions to see them!

Today it's all about the ice. After breakfast, you will drive to the beautiful glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón. Here you will find the icebergs circling off the Vatnajökull glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. On their way to the sea, these icebergs are broken by the current and scattered along the black sand beach, earning it the name Diamond Beach.
It is here that you will experience one of the highlights of your trip – a completely naturally formed ice cave. These incredible structures are formed in this way only in winter and offer a rare opportunity to walk beneath these colossal glaciers and get a glimpse of what's going on beneath its surface. Afterward, you will start the return journey to Reykjavík, however, before that you will stop in the beautiful village of Vík, where you will have the opportunity to take a panoramic photo.

Today will take you to the beautiful Snæfellsnes peninsula, where you will experience fascinating landscapes. The first stop is at the Ytri-Tunga peninsula, which has a rare pale sandy beach and is home to a seal colony. The seals are often playful and hopefully will let themselves be seen for a photo or two!
You'll also visit the famous black church Búðakirkja, before heading to the fishing village of Arnarstapi. There you can walk along the dramatic black coastline, watch the waves crashing against the cliffs, and view a natural rock arch! Other highlights on this day include the black sand beach of Djúpalónssandur, where fishermen used to test their strength on historic lifting stones, and the famous Kirkjufell Mountain. In the evening, you will return to Reykjavík.
