Frequently Asked Questions

Our Guided Vacation Packages are designed for travelers who want to experience the beauty of Iceland in the hands of experienced guides. Even though you are participating in group tours, you still have plenty of opportunities to design your own experience by adding activities. Check out the FAQ below for the most common questions!

Included in all our guided tour packages is accommodation, breakfast, all transfers, and expert guides. Apart from that, everything that is listed in the “Included” section of the tour, as it might differ. Tips are not part of Icelandic culture.

On your first day, everything will be arranged for your individual arrival. For your Iceland adventures you will be picked up in the morning from day two onwards.

The maximum group size is usually 17. A small group tour size gives you the opportunity to have a much more personal and immersive experience. The groups consist of travelers of all ages, but the minimum age is usually 8 years old. Tours that include activities such as glacier hiking require a moderate fitness level.

You will discover Iceland in a comfortable minibus/van. There is enough room for one suitcase per traveler, but we recommend you pack light. Additional luggage can be stored at your hotel in Reykjavík.

Of course! If your flight arrives/departs before or after the scheduled tour dates, then we are more than happy to arrange for additional nights and also book your airport transfers accordingly.

All group tours in Iceland are guided in English, unless otherwise stated. Do not worry if your English is not perfect – the guides are very used to guiding international tourists, and your fellow travelers will enjoy the cultural exchange. Iceland is more about the experience than the information, really!

If one of your chosen extra activities gets cancelled by the operator, mostly due to weather conditions, you will receive a partial refund. In some cases, your guide might suggest an alternative tour option.

This might be possible, but we advise you to book extra activities as soon as you can. If you did not book a tour that your fellow travelers are going for and feel like you are missing out, the guides will do their best to get you on the tour. However, there is no guarantee that it will be possible.

Each tour includes breakfast. Which and how many meals are included is unique to the itinerary. Please refer to the included section of your desired tour to find out more. If lunch or dinner is not included, your guide can give you suggestions for restaurants.

You will get free time to explore at each location, but you are expected to meet with the group at a given time. You also have the chance to stay with the group and enjoy expert guidance.
