We include a rental car, accommodation for each night of your Iceland Roadtrip, a detailed itinerary and professional assistance through our team. Apart from that, everything that is listed in the “Included” section of the tour, as it might differ.
It is no problem to add extra nights in the beginning or end of each tour, even after you have booked. If you would like to have a customized itinerary, then please send us an email before booking. A customized itinerary would also include adding a night in the middle of an existing itinerary, for example.
Yes, we would love to help you with that. Especially if your flight arrives late in the day or leaves in the morning hours, this is a popular option.
This depends on the itinerary, and we will only offer our recommended car types as options to choose for each individual Roadtrip. For tours that include the Highlands, or special winter tours, we include 4×4 cars. For other tours, that are available all year round, we recommend 4×4 cars in the winter months, but it is not mandatory and depends on your own need for safety.
We include a SCDW and Gravel Insurance, which lowers your self deductible and covers the most common damages on Icelandic roads. You can add other insurances with your car rental supplier, upon receiving your rental car.
Yes! You will always have the opportunity to add additional tours and activities after your booking. However, please note that some activities are very popular and likely to be fully booked at your desired time and date, if you wait too long. Therefore, we recommend to book as early in advance as you can. If you book tours during the booking process you will also receive a special discount.
No. Your rental car will be ready for you, no matter what time you arrive. You can also drop it off at any time. The car rental agency is at the premises of the airport, and we will give you detailed instructions on how to locate them.
Included in your Iceland Roadtrip is a detailed itinerary, that gives in-depth information about all the highlights covered along your route. It will be easy to locate them with given GPS points and links to Google Maps. The Icelandic road system is also very easy to navigate on, once you leave the capital. There is basically only one main road leading around the country, which will take you to the main sights.
Absolutely. For winter bookings we only offer tours that are suitable for winter driving. These Roadtrips are typically slow paced and cover the South and West of Iceland. The winter service is more frequent in these regions, and snowfall is usually not as heavy as in the East, North or in the Westfjords. If you do not feel comfortable driving in wintery conditions, however, we recommend opting for one of our guided tours.
We will assist you with emergencies such as issues with hotel bookings, suppliers, and everything that we arranged for you. Rest assured that our team is doing everything in their power to make your vacation perfect.
