Welcome to Iceland! No matter when you land, your car will be waiting for you at the airport, and it's only a short drive through the lava fields to get to Capital City.
On your way, you may want to pause and unwind in the Blue Lagoon's tranquil, turquoise waters, depending on how you feel after your flight. After checking in, you can discover Reykjavík's rich cultural heritage or sample the local cuisine by visiting one of the city's many pubs and restaurants.

This is where your journey starts. It's time to depart the city and see the renowned Golden Circle, which is home to three of the most well-known attractions in the nation. In Þingvellir National Park you can stroll the fissure that divides two continents. You will also come across Europe's only geyser, Strokkur, and the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall.
There's still more to be done. Around these three main locations, common activities include exploring volcanic craters, discovering secret waterfalls, and dining at an award-winning restaurant housed inside a tomato greenhouse. It is even possible to snorkel between the American and European tectonic plates!

This morning you will travel further along the island's South Coast to see more of Iceland’s breathtaking scenery. Many of these locations could remind you of a movie or television show because this area of Iceland, with its mountains and water as a backdrop, has served as the setting for many Hollywood movies. While exploring the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, we can let you in on one or two additional hidden locations in the region.
Along the route to Reynisfjara, the well-known black sand beach, you can stop at the base of Mýrdalsjökull to explore Sólheimajökull, one of the glacial tongues, where icebergs drift idly in the lagoon.

The South Coast & Reykjanes Peninsula
Driving Distance: approx. 260 km
Before heading home with suitcases full of incredible memories, you will drive towards the Reykjanes Peninsula. Through a different route on the South Coast, you will discover many small Icelandic villages, beautiful sea cliffs and a strange looking geothermal area.
Depending on the departure time, this could be your final opportunity to experience the Blue Lagoon. Otherwise, you will head straight to the Keflavík International Airport, drop of your car and say goodbye Iceland while boarding your flight in comfort.
